DRI Diversity Scholarships for Minority Law Students

Annually, DRI offers two scholarships in the amount of $10,000 each to minority law students from ABA accredited law schools in order to promote the DRI Diversity Statement.

Scholarship applicants should be incoming second and third-year African American, Hispanic, Asian, Pan Asian and Native American students. Incoming second and third-year female law students are also eligible, regardless of race or ethnicity. Incoming second and third-year law students who also come from backgrounds that would add to the cause of diversity, regardless of race or gender are eligible to apply.

The awarded applicants will best meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated academic excellence
  • Service to the profession
  • Service to the community
  • Service to the cause of diversity

If you know someone who may fit these criteria, please direct them to the DRI Website. If you have contacts at a law school, please distribute this information to them as well. The more applicants we receive, the better!

Download the scholarship flyer HERE for your distribution. The deadline for all applications is April 27, 2012.

Scholarship winners will be notified in advance and will be officially announced at the DRI Diversity for Success Seminar June 7–8, 2012 in Chicago.

Any questions regarding the scholarship should be directed to Megan O’Neill, DRI Marketing Analyst.

Thank you for your support of this important initiative!
